There Will Come Soft Rains

Seventy-six years ago, Ray Bradbury wrote a short story titled “There Will Come Soft Rains” for Collier’s Weekly. I first encountered it reading The Martian Chronicles in high school. It’s a quick read and is well worth your time.

What makes the story particularly special today is that it takes place on the actual date of August 4, 2026.
